The Arcachon Bay Flying Club

A story of enthusiasts since 1936

Fly, learn, share

The ACBA is a non-profit organisation (under the 1901 Act) with nearly 350 members, dedicated to recreational private aviation. Based at Arcachon-La Teste Aerodrome (LFCH), the club enjoys an exceptional setting between the Bassin, the Pilat Dune and the Landes Forest.

Certified as an ATO by the DGAC, the ACBA trains new pilots every year thanks to a team of passionate volunteer instructors. Club outings in France and across Europe are regularly organised — a passion for aviation is something to be shared.

🎓

High educational standards

Certified ATO school, qualified instructors, personalised support for every student.

✈️

A variety of flights

Private Pilot Licence (PPL), trips around Europe, aerobatics, night flying, VFR mountain flying — there’s something for everyone.

🌊

Exceptional surroundings

Flying over the Bassin, the Dune du Pilat and Cap Ferret — a privilege we’re proud to share.

Club life

As well as flying, the ACBA is a community: summer barbecue evenings, friendly general meetings, group outings to regional aerodromes, participation in national gatherings (RSA, Paris–Cannes, etc.), and annual open days. Our instructors also organise advanced training courses and annual refresher courses.
